Crest of Hyule Pillow!

Crest of Hyrule (from Legend of Zelda) Pillow! Scroll down for progress pics.

You can follow this pattern to make your own!

I had to used a 15 x 15 pillow insert since I, apparently, really suck at stuffing with fiberfill.

I put my boyfriend's and my initials on the back since this pillow is for the home we'll be moving in together.

Crochet Totoro!

Made this for boyfriend's birthday! It took approximately two seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to make.
You can find the pattern I followed HERE I deviated from the pattern a little bit and free-handed the little leaf on this head (below).

In days of peace, in nights of war...

In days of peace, in nights of war, obey the laws forever more. Misconduct must be answered for, swear us the Chosen - the Alpha Corps!

Sorry, no progress picture for this one since it was a pretty fast painting (about 2 hr from pencil to finish). Yes, I need to get a better camera or a scanner...when I get a job.

Watercolor Nami (League of Legends)

A lot of people think I'm naturally a support player (cleric, healer, etc.), but the reason I play support is so that I can "accidentally" let people die when they piss me off.

Anyway, here's my favorite support from League of Legends, Nami - the Tidecaller.

Something I learned from doing this painting - boobies are REALLY hard to shade.

Progress pics:

1. Pencil line

2. Shapie line (sharpies are NOT good on work this small)

3. Lots of masking fluid

4. Basic background colour

5. Foreground colour

6. Foreground colour

7. Took off masking fluid (eek too many blank spots!)

8. Hair and Scales

9. the CLAMP method - add enough highlights so no one will notice you're really crappy at shading.

Nemo cat! watercolor and gouache

I'm really looking forward to living with Nemo next year! He is a very...blunt cat but I love him all the same. The white whiskers and eyebrows are done with gouache (Yes, I just picked those up too. More colours!)

Sorry forgot to take progress picture on this one.

Mona Cat!

Yup, another cat painting.

This is my kitty Mona. I adopted her from a shelter five years ago and she's the sweetest kitty I've ever met.

 Here are some progress pictures.

1) Fist wash with a mix of blue and red (which turned out grey).

2) A little more color and background.

3)Added some texture with a smaller brush

5)Added darker shadows and white fur.

The TARDIS is like a CAT.

Horray! Summer shinnanigans! For this summer, I picked up watercolor. This painting is inspired by the episode of Doctor Who where the Doctor described the T.A.R.D.I.S. as a cat (because she was being mean to Oswin).

Here are some progress pictures.Constructive criticism welcome.

1) Outline with pencil and some shading in eyes. Paper's actually white, camera's just infected with my Asian-ness.

2) Applied some masking fluid on the fur to preserve the whites.

3) In hindsight, I probably should have researched on how to paint a cat BEFORE I started painting a cat.

4) Did some research on how to paint a cat.

5) Apparently Doctor Who fans have created Gallifreyan!

6) Masked the Gallifreyan in the back to preserve the colour and painted the first layer of background.

7) Masked another layer of Gallifreyan on the bottom then added more colours and salt.

 8) Rubbed off the masking fluid and salt with my fingers and added a little white on the TARDIS kitty's fur.
